Auctivo, an online auction platform based in Apeldoorn, has opened bids on a private collection of 144 vintage Apple lots. The sale, running through 7 October 2026, spans four decades of Apple hardware and memorabilia — from a 1986 Macintosh Plus to late-1990s iMacs, Power Macs, laptops, monitors, printers and promotional items.

Highlights from the collection

  • A boxed blue iMac G3 — the translucent all‑in‑one first introduced in August 1998 — complete with keyboard, cables and original packaging.
  • A translucent iMac with pink accents from Apple’s early‑1999 color range, including original documentation.
  • A Macintosh Plus (introduced January 1986), a compact all‑in‑one with built‑in black‑and‑white screen and front‑loading floppy drive, representing one of the oldest machines in the sale as it turns 40 this year.
  • An Apple ImageWriter dot‑matrix printer from the early Macintosh era and other peripherals.
  • Memorabilia such as a framed Macintosh‑era employee shirt marked “Production Engineering – Keeps Macintosh Running” — similar shirts have fetched between $1,000 and $2,000 at past auctions.

Auction practicals

  • What: Apple Vintage & Legacy — 144 lots (computers, laptops, monitors, printers and memorabilia)
  • Viewing: Friday 18 September 2026, 09:00–10:00 CET, Schumanpark 75, 7336 AS Apeldoorn
  • Closing: Lots will close online from 20:00 CET on Wednesday 7 October 2026
  • Bidding: Online via auctivo.net after free registration; starting bids from €30 per lot
  • Collection: Purchased lots must be picked up in Apeldoorn

The auction presents a mix of collectible hardware in varying condition — the presence of boxed iMac G3 models is notable because original packaging for late‑90s Apple machines is increasingly rare. Collectors and museums often prize items that remain with original documentation and accessories, which can add significant value at auction.
